In Ayurvedic medicine, detoxification is an important part of seasonal health restoration and maintenance. When we take the time to detox, we give our mind and body an opportunity for a reset to its normal state of balance & harmony. Toxicity is referred to as Ama which is the residue from all the ways we are hijacked with our health.

You'll learn to go from the fight or flight response to rest & digest and the restful awareness response through simple meditation & breathing practices that will make the rest of your healing journey easier and more profound. So many people suffer from insomnia and write it off as a normal part of being a busy person, menopause, or aging. In Ayurveda, nutrition is the Mother of all disease, and insomnia is the Father. If we can't sleep, we can't heal. During sleep is when the body detoxifies and restores so that toxins can be released in the morning. By reducing stress, sleeping well becomes the rule rather than the exception. You'll learn practices and strategies that will get you sleeping like a baby in no time!
Good nutrition is the cornerstone of any healthy lifestyle program and detoxification continues in the kitchen! You will learn to make changes to your diet and eating habits based on your individual mind-body constitutional type. Without fads and gimmicks that never last for the long term, you will experience gentle detoxification as your body gets used to a new normal while releasing toxins that build up eventually contributing to chronic illness and disease.
Physical detoxification inevitably leads to detox in every other area including thoughts and emotions. It should not be surprising that with the release of physical toxins, emotional toxins will be shed as well. Practices, situations, and relationships that are no longer working or serving you harmoniously will bubble to the surface for your consideration, thereby empowering you and providing you the courage to make some changes. Doing a detox in community with others creates a supportive, confidential environment in which participants are encouraged to share and process during the daily sessions as things come up.
I work with a selection of high-quality, clean, natural, and largely organic products including supplements, activators, skincare, haircare, aromatherapy and more. We don't always realize how our health is hijacked by the personal products we use on ourselves, our pets, and in our homes. Chemicals are all around us and in places we may not have even thought of. I have carefully vetted the companies I work with to ensure my clients have access to the best products for their individual needs. There are many ways to experience detoxification including using only food, and you can determine the best options for you. Several will be provided during the first week of the cleanse.
Making the time for Self-care is part of what a detoxification process is all about. In our busy lives, we can tend to put ourselves last and then wonder why we are exhausted, lack energy, have anxiety, become impatient or cannot manifest our goals and desires.
After detoxification, we'll gently begin to re-introduce foods and integrate the lifestyle practices that you'll want to continue in your daily life. We all fall off the wagon with Self care, myself included! This is why it is good practice to do a detox about four times a year at the change of every season to re-member how it feels to release that which no longer serves us.
